April 16, 2025
As LA's newest landmark, Intuit Dome is collaborating with renowned artists and adding their creative vision to its state-of-the-art arena. The Intuit Dome Public Art Program features the work of artists in a wide-ranging display of photography, paintings, sculptures, mixed media, and more. Artists include Catherine Opie, Jonas Wood, Jennifer Steinkamp, and Kx2 among others.
California Love is a strikingly expansive wall installation that draws its inspiration from the sheet music of the iconic song “California Love” by 2Pac, featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman, which holds special significance as the Clippers’ win song. This meandering artwork is composed of 80 circular sculptures, meticulously arranged to reflect the different sections of the song. The varying sized circles correspond to the musical notes on a staff, translating the song’s rhythm and melody into a tangible visual form.
Game Play is a visually engaging artwork installation that captures the excitement and strategy of basketball. The piece features sculptures arranged in a formation reminiscent of a basketball play, employing the LA Clippers’ team colors—red and blue —to distinguish between offensive and defensive players. Each circular sculpture is designed to evoke the appearance of both a basketball and a ship’s porthole, with textural painting that reflects the dynamic motion and sensation of waves. This fusion of elements creates a vibrant and immersive experience, blending the fluidity of basketball with the strategic depth of the game.
