BOCA RATON, FL (August 17, 2013) – Baker Sponder Gallery announces the upcoming exhibition of new paintings by pop artist Heiner Meyer. The exhibition opens at Gallery Center on October 12th from 6-8 pm.
Pop Artist Heiner Meyer presents an unbiased, outside view of American Pop Culture through dynamic paintings combining the influential imagery of our lives. Unlike the Pop Art movement which focused on individual everyday objects, Meyer’s work highlights a stream of juxtaposing visuals from the past and present. Pin up girls pose next to Mickey Mouse while socialite stars such as Paris Hilton transpose against glamorous icons like Marilyn Monroe. Each exciting combination calls us to draw our own conclusions based on individual perspective.
